The Parish

Church of the Incarnation is a new Anglican church forming in Memphis, TN, that officially launched Sunday worship services in October 2024. Our mission is to become a growing community of disciples that embodies Jesus in Memphis so that people have a transformational encounter with him. Learn more about our church. The Position (about 10 hours per week)

Worship

• Spend regular time in prayer and care for one’s own spiritual formation

• Lead musical worship at Incarnation for Sunday services and occasional mid-week gatherings

• Schedule musicians

• Run rehearsals

• Setup and teardown for worship services in rented space

Audio / Visual

• Ensure high quality sound for worship services

• Build slides for Sunday services as well any any other services

Administration

• Participate in staff meetings and events

• Respond to communication in a timely manner

• Ensure licensing and organization of CCLI, etc.

The Candidate

• A personal faith grounded in Jesus Christ, aligned with the church’s mission and values

• Enthusiastic about our ancient-future worship approach, blending traditional and contemporary worship elements in the context of Holy Spirit-filled Prayer Book liturgy

• A humble servant leader who is teachable and reliable, with a passion for serving the church

• Experience leading music for a church

• Joyfully lead various musical styles and expressions, including contemporary songs and ancient hymns, and a willingness to learn musical styles that include: hymnody, praise music, and gospel elements and/or the ability to empower the team to incorporate those elements in worship.

• A basic knowledge of A/V equipment and admin software, especially ProPresenter and Planning Center
